Tony Stewart wins his first race at the Brickyard. Yes the Hoosier native has finally won at the Brickyard. It was Stewarts
fourth victory in the past six races and seventh top-10 finish in a row for the hottest driver in NASCAR, moving him into
the lead in the Nextel Cup standings for the first time since he wrapped up his only Cup title in 2002.
Also announced this week Kurt Busch driver of the #97 ford owned by Jack Roush will be leaving the team in the 2007 season
and has been signed with Roger Penske Racing. Busch has also asked to be released from his 2006 contract so he can start racing
the #2 dodge next year. Jack Roush has yet to give Kurt an answer on if he will be released in 2006 or not.
